Every account has one, at soundtoggle.io/r/yourname. Your published players carry it automatically, so the engineer who asks "how did you make that?" already has a way in.

Anyone arriving through your link gets 30% off automatically at checkout when they choose an annual plan, or 15% off lifetime. When they pay, your commission is recorded.

Credit applies to your own plan automatically. Prefer money? Apply for cash payouts — reviewed by hand, paid once your balance reaches $20.

Commission is calculated on what your referral actually pays, after their discount. Annual plans pay the most — for you and for them.

Credit is spendable on SoundToggle only. It is never exchangeable for cash, and expires 24 months after it is earned.

Approval applies to referrals that convert from then on — credit already earned stays credit. Cash is reportable income you are responsible for.
Questions
How much do I earn per referral?
40% of what your referral actually pays on a monthly or annual plan, and 12% on a lifetime purchase — calculated on the amount collected after their discount. A referred Pro annual plan pays you $23.52; Studio annual pays $50.40.
When does a commission become mine?
Commissions are earned when your referral makes their first payment. Account credit becomes available 30 days later, once the refund window has passed. Cash payouts are held for 90 days, because card disputes can arrive up to 120 days after a charge and cash cannot be clawed back. If a payment is refunded or disputed, the commission is reversed.
Can I get paid in cash?
Everyone earns account credit automatically with no signup. Cash payouts are available by application — we review each one before approving, because paying real money means knowing who we are working with. Approval applies to referrals that convert from then on.
Can I convert my credit into cash?
No. Account credit is only ever spendable on SoundToggle plans — it cannot be paid out, transferred, or converted, and switching to cash payouts does not unlock credit you already earned. Cash mode has to be approved before a referral converts for that commission to be payable in money.
What does the person I refer get?
They save 30% on their first year if they choose an annual plan, or 15% on a lifetime purchase. Monthly plans have no referral discount — the discount is the reward for committing to a year. Everyone also gets the standard 14-day Studio trial.
Do I need an audience to take part?
No. Every SoundToggle account is enrolled for credit from day one, and the players you already share carry your referral link. Most referrals come from one engineer showing another what they made.
What is not allowed?
No bidding on SoundToggle brand terms in paid search, no listing on coupon or deal sites, and no automated link farms. If you promote for money you must disclose the relationship. Unredeemed credit expires after 24 months.
