Vertical video works: portrait clips are shown letterboxed, and the player caps how tall the video can get so it doesn't push the controls off the screen.
Keep the file small. The 500 MB ceiling is easy to hit if you export with uncompressed audio — a three-minute clip with PCM/WAV audio can approach it on its own, and large files are slow for your visitors to load. Export with compressed (AAC) audio in the video file; the lossless audio your listeners toggle between comes from the audio files you upload separately, not from the video's own soundtrack.
