Music producer portfolio examples: 58 real sites, scored on what clients look for.

We scored 58 music producer portfolios, from Nile Rodgers and Boi-1da to working mix engineers, on what a client needs to know: can I hear it, what did you do on it, what does it cost, how do I book you? A before and after you can hear was the rarest trait of all: only 2 of 57 offer one, so we added 6 SoundToggle players you can play.

Building one? Read how to build a music producer portfolio website →

The short answer

A music producer portfolio is the page a client uses to decide whether to hire you: work they can play without leaving your site, your exact role on each credit, proof it landed, and one clear way to get in touch.

In the 58 portfolios we checked on October 5, 2026, 34 of 56 let you play something without leaving the site, 27 of 58 label their role on credits, 6 of 58 publish prices, and only 2 of 57 let you hear a before and after.

What 58 producer portfolios do, and what they skip

Famous sites sell a name. Working sites sell a service.

Share of hitmaker and working-pro sites with each trait

Working pros list their services 12 times out of 15; hitmakers 2 out of 21.

That isn’t a knock on the hitmakers: a household name doesn’t need a hire page. You probably do, so copy the hitmakers’ credits and everything else from the working pros.

The hitmakers include two fan or store sites picked on purpose as contrast, marked on their cards.

Music producer portfolio and website examples, by type

58 portfolios across seven kinds of producer. Each card says what stands out, the idea worth stealing and what to watch for. Every site’s score is in one table at the end.

Record producer portfolios (11)

The producers people mean when they say “my producer”: they run the session and often engineer and mix it too. The big names prove pedigree with precise credits. The working producers add what the big names don’t need: a service list, a form and, in Drew Mantia’s case, a demo-to-release comparison. 7 of 11 play something on their site; none publish prices.

In this group, 4 of the 5 working pros list services, against 1 of the 6 others.

Anatomy of a producer portfolio that gets you hired

Nine principles, each proved by cards above. Tap a name to jump to its card; Back brings you here.

  1. Let them hear it without leaving your site

Put a player on the page people land on. Every click out to a streaming app is a chance to lose the visitor, and a logged-out listener may only get a preview. Your own player, or an embed of the exact track, keeps the listen on the page that books you.

Plays on the site: 34 of 56 · own player: 16

Who does it well: Pinar Toprak · 43-cue homepage playlistJoe Barresi · 50-track reel on his siteMike Will Made-It · a play button per audio trackJacknife Lee · two tracks, whole siteGarry Schyman · “Listen” is the first menu item

Watch out On Chris Lord-Alge’s site, logged-out visitors only get Spotify previews, so put full tracks in a player of your own.

On SoundToggle Embed a SoundToggle player on your own page so the play button is right there, on every plan. On a hosted SoundToggle portfolio, each project opens with one click.

  2. Write your exact role on every credit

Artist, title, year and what you did: produced, co-produced, mixed, mastered, Atmos mix. Say when the job was partial. It is the line a client checks first, and the one that separates your work from the artist’s.

Role on credits: 27 of 58

Who does it well: Dave Fridmann · Prod/Eng/Mix, AtmosPaul Epworth · a credit on every trackKen Lewis · niche roles, sortableJacquire King · a legend for role codesHildur Guðnadóttir · co-composers named; others’ scores filed apartSerban Ghenea · the exact tracks he mixed

Watch out Daniel Lanois’ grid doesn’t say which records are his productions; label each one with your role.

On SoundToggle Each project on your portfolio shows its artist and genre; your description appears when a visitor opens it.

  3. Lead with a short selection, and make the rest searchable

Put your best handful first and keep the full list one click away. Once the list runs past a page, add search or a filter (by role, genre or year) so a visitor can find the one credit they care about.

    Searchable credits: 10 of 57

Who does it well: Paul Epworth · Selected and All tabsBoi-1da · a searchable credit databaseNile Rodgers · filter by roleDON! (Don Sahand) · production, mixing and mastering listsKatie Tavini · a genre filterNainita Desai · a genre filter

On SoundToggle Choose and reorder the projects on your portfolio; a playlist holds several tracks in one player (3 on Free, 10 on Pro, unlimited on Studio).

  4. Show the before, not just the after

A finished song can’t show what you added. A rough demo against the release, or raw tracks against your mix, can. Match the loudness of both sides so the louder one doesn’t win by default, and label each side for what it is.

    Before/after on the site: 2 of 57 · process instead: +13

Who does it well: Drew Mantia · demo to release, role captionedSara Carter (Music Mix Pro) · raw vs mixed, plus a six-step processDigital Domain (Bob Katz) · recommends loudness-matched comparisons↓ The live players · 6 before/afters

Watch out Digital Domain keeps the unmastered versions behind a login, so the loudness-matched comparison its demo page recommends is hard to make; put both versions in one player.

On SoundToggle A/B players switch in place, and loudness matching (Off, Locked or Listener’s choice) is on every plan. Test your own free in the browser A/B tool · A/B player

  5. Prove it with results and third parties

Put a result next to each credit: a chart position, a stream count, a repeat booking. Then let someone else vouch for you, with press links, named testimonials or a credits database a client can check.

Clients named up front: 34 of 58

Who does it well: Joe Barresi · a chart result per albumAndrew Scheps (McDonough Management page) · a “Billions Club” blockTony Visconti · repeat-booking countsJimmy Bralower Productions · six hard numbersMatt Bayles · press links as vouchingMike Dean (M.W.A Music) · links to credit databasesNainita Desai · music awards apart from project awards

  6. Split the work by who’s buying

Artists, labels, music supervisors and orchestras want different proof. Give each kind of buyer its own reel, page or section, so nobody has to dig through work that isn’t for them.

Who does it well: Chris Lord-Alge (CLA) · reels by genreChris Brown (brownsound.net) · reels by buyer, one fact per clipMichael Giacchino · a page for orchestrasMadlib · sections by aliasDesmond Child · separate writer and producer discographiesMichael Brauer (BrauerSound) · a lane for unsigned artists

  7. Give one obvious next step, routed by purpose

Make the hire path the easiest thing on the page: one clear button, or contacts labeled by purpose (sessions, mixing, press). A form or an email address on your own page beats a link to someone else’s site.

    Form or email: 41 of 56 · inquiry form: 23 of 56

Who does it well: The Lodge (Emily Lazar) · one “Book a Session” buttonKaytranada · contacts labeled by purposeDaniel Lanois · pre-filled subject linesDON! (Don Sahand) · a button per serviceMark Needham · every service page ends in a form

Watch out None of the 11 artist-producer sites have an inquiry form.

On SoundToggle A portfolio contact form comes with Pro and Studio; messages go to your Submissions inbox and to your email.

  8. Tell people what to send

Ask for a link to the music, the services needed, the budget and the deadline, and say how to prepare files. The first message then arrives with enough to quote on.

Tells you what to send: 12 of 56

Who does it well: StudioDMI (Luca Pretolesi) · reference and rough mix requiredHeba Kadry Mastering · deliverables and a private listening linkDrew Mantia · a “link to your music” fieldChris Brown (brownsound.net) · budget, song count, rough mixArcadia Street Studios (Creigh Riepe) · what to put in a first messageWaltz Mastering (Tom Waltz) · a file-prep page

Watch out The Lodge’s form asks for budget and deadline but doesn’t say how to prepare files; link a file-prep page, as Waltz Mastering does.

On SoundToggle On Studio, the contact form takes custom fields (short text, long text or dropdown, optionally required), so you can ask for a reference link, budget and deadline; plus an auto-reply and webhooks.

  9. Show your ear and your process, after the essentials

Session stories, making-of posts and breakdowns show how you work and what you listen for. Add them once a visitor can already hear the work, see your role and reach you.

    Before/after or process: 15 of 57

Who does it well: Nigel Godrich · session memories on most recordsBear McCreary · a behind-the-score post per projectJason Graves · how each score was madeRick Rubin (Tetragrammaton) · publishes his taste

Watch out Pharrell Williams’ dress-up-game homepage works because everyone already knows his credits; until yours are that well known, put the essentials first.

Where your credits get verified

Credit surfaces: what each shows and its limits
Surface (example checked)What it showsLimits
Spotify creditsSpotify song credits + 'Written By' playlist (Louis Bell) ↗ (opens in a new tab)The credits dialog opens even for logged-out visitors and, since Spotify's late-2025 expansion, lists roles down to mixing second engineers, while writers who have a Songwriter Page get a clickable name and a playlist of their catalog. You can't edit what appears: credits come from label or distributor metadata, and this same song shows no mastering credit even though Apple Music lists one.
Apple Music creditsApple Music song credits (Post Malone, 'Circles') ↗ (opens in a new tab)Credits are printed directly on the public song page, with no click and no subscription, and they include the mastering engineer that Spotify's credits for the same song leave out.Names are plain text, so there's no contributor page to send a client to, and Apple notes that credits aren't available for every song.
TIDAL creditsTIDAL credits (Post Malone, 'Circles') ↗ (opens in a new tab)Every name in the logged-out credits list is a link, real-name writer credits resolve to the artist's page (Adam Feeney opens Frank Dukes' page), and contributor credit pages can be filtered by role: songwriter, performer, producer, production team, engineer. The full credits list came up empty for an engineer-only contributor we checked and this release shows no mastering credit, so TIDAL alone won't document engineering work.
DiscogsDiscogs artist credits (Louis Bell (4)) ↗ (opens in a new tab)Credits are counted by category (writing and arrangement, production, technical, instruments, vocals), and the page gathers his name variations and an alias so differently spelled credits land in one place.Access is inconsistent: on the day we checked, the page loaded in one browser and showed a bot check in another, so use it as a backup citation rather than the link you send.
A management roster pageElectric Feel management roster page (Louis Bell) ↗ (opens in a new tab)Every line of the year-by-year discography names his role on that song (producer, writer, vocal producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer), so a reader sees the job he did, not just the artist. The discography ends at 2021, so newer work such as the 2024 credits listed on Discogs is missing; a credits page only persuades while it's current.

Link the one that shows your role. On Post Malone’s “Circles”, Apple Music listed the mastering engineer; Spotify and TIDAL didn’t. Credit databases such as Muso.AI show up as links on featured sites: Mike Dean, Daryl Harkin and Infrasonic Sound point to theirs.

Common portfolio mistakes, and the fix

Patterns we saw more than once, with the fix. We’ve left the sites unnamed.

  1. A name domain that forwards to a merch store or band shop. Instead: give your production work its own page at your name.
  2. A homepage that’s only social icons. Instead: three credits with your role, two or three tracks that play on the site, and one way to reach you.
  3. Credits that exist only as images. Cover walls without text or alt text can’t be searched, read aloud or copied. Instead: put the title and your role in real text under every cover.
  4. Hire links that go nowhere (a “Let’s work” menu that opens an empty folder, cover links that 404). Instead: click your own hire path, start to finish, once a month.
  5. Audio that starts by itself, with no controls. Instead: let visitors press play; browsers block autoplay anyway.
  6. A splash or “Enter” gate before any work. Instead: put the work on the first screen.
  7. “Coming soon” labels that outlive the date. Instead: date your recent work and give banners an end date.
  8. Numbers that disagree between pages (stats in the search snippet vs the press page, a rate on two pages). Instead: keep every figure in one place and link to it.
  9. An expired or mismatched HTTPS certificate, or a security add-on that blocks real visitors. We held back a few portfolios because browsers warned us before loading them. Instead: check the padlock and test from a phone on mobile data.
  10. An artist embed where you meant a track. A Spotify artist player plays their popular songs, not necessarily yours. Instead: embed the track, or a playlist of the songs you worked on.

Fix the gaps step by step: music producer portfolio website guide.

How we picked and checked them

On October 5, 2026 we loaded every site in a normal browser or by fetching the page, scored it on 11 signals, and had a second pass fact-check each claim against the live page. Where we could, we checked notability against Wikipedia or another independent source; otherwise the card says “per his site” (or her, or its) or leaves the claim out.

We checked 133 sites and profiles. 80 appear in this guide, 38 passed but weren’t needed or were held back because browsers warn before loading them, and 15 didn’t make it: sites that were broken or blocked us, sites we couldn’t tie to the person, pages that weren’t portfolios (a redirect to a band shop, a page of social icons), sites browsers warn about before loading, a few where featuring them would mostly mean criticizing a named person, and 3 SoundToggle accounts, one of them our founder’s. Three famous fan and store sites are kept on purpose as contrast, and marked on their cards. This isn’t a random sample: we picked for range across seven kinds of producer, with famous names first because that’s what people search for.

Nobody paid to be included, and there are no affiliate links. The producers and studios featured haven’t endorsed SoundToggle and aren’t affiliated with us. Music producer portfolio FAQ

What makes a good music producer portfolio?

A good music producer portfolio plays your work on the site, names your role on each credit, proves results and shows how to hire you. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check of 58 music producer portfolios, 34 of 56 (61%) had something playable on the site, but only 16 used their own player rather than a third-party embed. Role labels on credits appeared on 27 of 58 (47%), and an inquiry form on 23 of 56 (41%). The rarest traits were published prices, 6 of 58 (10%), and a before-and-after you can hear, 2 of 57 (4%).

What are some good music producer portfolio examples?

Strong music producer portfolio examples include Dave Fridmann, Nile Rodgers, Paul Epworth, Boi-1da, Sara Carter, Pinar Toprak and Electrical Audio, each for a different reason. Look at Dave Fridmann for his exact role on every record, Nile Rodgers for a discography you can filter by role, Paul Epworth for a credit line on every track, Boi-1da for a searchable credit database, Sara Carter for raw-versus-mixed pairs on her mixing page, Pinar Toprak for a 43-cue playlist on the homepage and Electrical Audio for a full rate page with a cost calculator. For working producers, the best sites add a service list, an inquiry form and a before-and-after you can hear.

How many tracks should a music producer portfolio have?

Lead with three to six finished tracks and keep the rest one click away. The strongest examples curate rather than count: Jacknife Lee’s whole site is two tracks, Garry Schyman offers 155 short cues across 15 project playlists, and Paul Epworth leads with a selected grid of about 30 records and keeps all 144 one click away. If you’re starting out, a handful of finished tracks plus one before-and-after beats a long list of rough ideas.

Should a music producer put rates on their website?

Publish prices if you sell a repeatable unit, such as a master, a lease or a studio day; otherwise explain how you quote. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check of 58 music producer portfolios, 6 of 58 (10%) published prices: Robin Wesley Instrumentals, Chuki Beats, Digital Domain, Waltz Mastering, Electrical Audio and The Mastering Palace. All of them sell a repeatable unit. None of the record producers, artist-producers, songwriter-producers or composers did. Michael Brauer lists a direct email for unsigned-artist rates, and Chris Brown (brownsound.net) uses a quote form that asks for budget and promises a quote, usually within 24 hours.

Do famous producers have portfolio websites?

Many do, but few famous producers’ sites are built to get them hired. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check, 8 of 21 (38%) hitmaker sites offered a form or an email address, against all 13 working producers’ sites that could be checked. Some are built for fans: Pharrell Williams’ homepage is an interactive dress-up game, which suits an artist everyone already knows, and The Alchemist’s site is his label’s store. The exceptions are worth copying: Nile Rodgers lets you filter his discography by role, Boi-1da’s credits are a searchable database, and Paul Epworth writes his exact credit on every track.

How should I list my production credits?

Write the artist, title, year and your exact role on every line, and say when the role was partial. Dave Fridmann’s discography marks each record as production, co-production, mix only or Atmos mix. Jacquire King prints a legend for his role codes. Hildur Guðnadóttir gives every score a Music line that names any co-composer, and files films scored by other composers under a separate Credits heading. Then let people check: link the streaming service that shows your role (on Post Malone’s “Circles”, Apple Music lists the mastering engineer and Spotify doesn’t), or a credits database, as Mike Dean does.

Do I need big credits to have a good producer portfolio?

No: show what you add instead of who you’ve worked with. Drew Mantia pairs three clients’ rough demos with his finished productions. Daryl Harkin says plainly that his catalog is still growing, links his verified credits and invites artists to raise budget concerns. A clear service list, a contact form that asks for a link to the artist’s music, and a few named testimonials do more than a padded credit list.

What do the best mixing and mastering engineer portfolios do?

They make hiring easy: an inquiry form, instructions on what to send, and a before-and-after you can hear. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check of 11 mixing and mastering engineer portfolios, 8 of 11 had an inquiry form and 6 of 11 said what to send; the two that publish prices, Digital Domain and Waltz Mastering, are both mastering engineers. Sara Carter’s mixing page pairs raw and mixed versions of the same songs, Chris Brown (brownsound.net) splits his reels by type of client, and Waltz Mastering offers a free sample master before you pay.

Is a BeatStars page enough as a beatmaker portfolio?

For selling leases it can be, but add a bio and credits so artists know who made the beats. Chuki Beats runs a BeatStars Pro Page on his own domain with a searchable catalog and four priced license tiers plus exclusives by offer, and Beast Inside Beats puts usage limits and prices right beside the player. Neither store showed a bio or credits on the pages SoundToggle checked in October 2026. Robin Wesley Instrumentals shows the fix: placements and credits sit next to the lease tiers.

Should my portfolio include before-and-after examples?

Yes, if you have permission to share them: a before-and-after you can hear is the rarest proof among music producer portfolios. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check, only 2 of 57 (4%) offered one on the site (Drew Mantia and Sara Carter), and 13 more showed their process through session photos, making-of videos or breakdowns. Label each side for what it is, such as DEMO and FINAL or “Raw tracks as received”. On SoundToggle you can rename each side and choose which version the player opens on, and loudness matching is on every plan.

What should a producer’s contact form ask for?

Ask for a link to the music, the services needed, the budget and the deadline, so your first reply can be a real answer. StudioDMI’s form requires a reference mix, the current rough mix, a target date and what should stay or change. Heba Kadry asks for the exact deliverables and a private, non-downloadable listening link. Drew Mantia adds a “link to your music” field. In SoundToggle’s October 2026 check, only 12 of 56 (21%) music producer portfolios told visitors what to send. On SoundToggle the portfolio contact form comes with Pro and Studio; Studio adds custom fields (short text, long text or dropdown, optionally required), an auto-reply and webhooks.

Can I use Spotify, Apple Music or TIDAL credits as proof?

Yes as citations, but not as your portfolio, because you can’t edit them. Spotify’s credits dialog opens for logged-out visitors and, since late 2025, lists roles down to mixing second engineers. Apple Music prints credits on the public song page. On the release SoundToggle checked, every credited name on TIDAL was a link, and its contributor pages filter by role. All three take credits from label and distributor metadata: on Post Malone’s “Circles”, Apple Music listed the mastering engineer and Spotify and TIDAL didn’t. Link the service that shows your role, from a portfolio you control.

Can I make a music producer portfolio for free?

Yes. Every SoundToggle (soundtoggle.io) account, including Free, gets a hosted portfolio page at app.soundtoggle.io/u/yourname with a bio, photo, up to 8 links and up to 3 projects (250 MB, lossy uploads), with A/B players and loudness matching you can switch on. Free pages carry SoundToggle branding. Pro ($9/month, $84/year or $199 once) adds lossless playback, 25 projects, the contact form and branding removal. See pricing and the portfolio feature. SoundCloud’s free plan allows up to 2 hours of uploads in total, per its help center, but has no fields for credits or services.

Put your before and after on the page.

Only 2 of 57 portfolios we could check let a visitor hear what the producer changed. A SoundToggle portfolio does it on the Free plan, with A/B players and optional loudness matching. Pro adds lossless playback, a contact form and no branding.
